2010 UK

From 11th - 25th July 2010, Offscreen Expeditions offered a rare opportunity for 6 young leaders from the Middle East to visit the UK for a two-week tour of the country. From Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar came Dana & Jasmin, Fahad & Jena, Reem & Sarah, talented young artists who over the course of two weeks produced a visual travelogue of the UK. The expedition begans in multicultural East London, working with schools from the five Olympic boroughs. It then progressed to a tour of Houses of Parliament to meet with politicians, then outside to Parliament Square to interview protestors.
Bradford and Yorkshire were the next stops on the journey, where activities had a special focus on British Muslim identity and community. There was also a focus on environmental issues and their impact on a global scale through work with the National Trust.
Leaving for Birmingham, the expedition team then considered the impact of enterprise on British society, before returning to London to prepare for their final celebration at Oxford House in Bethnal Green.
