British Museum Artists-in-Schools
Bristol City Museum & Art Gallery
Over the past two months Bristol's Museum and Art Gallery has collaborated with the British Museum on Phase 4 of its Arab Artists in Schools project.
Bristol-based Moroccan-German artist, Mohammed Ouammi worked with Year 10 Art & Design BTEC and GCSE pupils from Bristol Metropolitan College and St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School. They discussed their own ideas about the Arab World and explored and challenged stereotypes.
Funded by the Said Foundation, the project aims to promote knowledge and understanding of the Arab World and raise students’ awareness of Arab arts and culture.
