Media Player Training

Ministry of Education, Dubai

In January 2010, a groundbreaking new educational resource was launched at the Ministry of Education in Dubai. The Offscreen Classroom Media Player, funded by the HSBC in the Community Middle East Foundation and developed in partnership with the Ministry of Education, British Council, Offscreen Education Programme and Digital Explorer, has been specifically developed for the multimedia classroom of the 21st Century, representing a major development in the use of content and technology to inspire young people in the Middle East to learn English and develop cultural understanding.

The resource will now be piloted in government schools in the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Lebanon, with students and teachers in Madares Al Ghad schools in Dubai being the first users.
