Middle East Cubist Still Life
Woodbridge High School
Still Lives made from Iranian & Arabian artifacts, (including a hubbly bubbly pipe from Dubai, a biscuit tin from Qom, Iran, Arabic newspapers, an Omani hat and ceremonial Bedouin jewellry), were set up and students were asked to draw them from a number of different viewpoints. Students then incorporated Pharsi and Arabic text into their picture before developing these elements into an abstract collage.
